لَمdid not يَرجِعواthey turn back مِنout of خَشيَةِfear of المَوتِdeath وَالرَّدىand destruction
لَم يَرجِعوا مِن خَشيَةِ المَوتِ وَالرَّدى
وَقَدand already جَلَبَتهاhad brought it مِنfrom بَعيدٍafar جَوالِبُthose who bring or drive
وَقَد جَلَبَتها مِن بَعيدٍ جَوالِبُ
They did not retreat for fear of death and destruction,
and those who drove it had brought it from afar.
سَيَمنَعُهاwill prevent it مِنfrom أَنto تَرُدَّturn back حَفيظَةًout of protective zeal
سَيَمنَعُها مِن أَن تَرُدَّ حَفيظَةً
فَوارِسُhorsemen of صَعبٍṢaʿb وَالكُماةُand the armored warriors مُحَارِبُMuḥārib
فَوارِسُ صَعبٍ وَالكُماةُ مُحَارِبُ
They will keep it from turning back, out of protective zeal—
the horsemen of Ṣaʿb and the armored warriors, Muḥārib.
