وَأَلقَيتُهاand I cast it فيin الثِنيِthe bend مِنfrom جَنبِthe side of كافِرٍKafir
وَأَلقَيتُها في الثِنيِ مِن جَنبِ كافِرٍ
كَذلِكَthus أَقنوI acquire and keep كُلَّevery قِطٍّwrit مُضَلِّلِmisleading
كَذلِكَ أَقنو كُلَّ قِطٍّ مُضَلِّلِ
And I cast it into the bend beside Kafir;
And I cast it into the folds by the side of an infidel
thus I keep every deceptive writ.
Thus do I throw every misleading cat
رَمَيتُI threw بِهاwith it حَتّىuntil رَأيتُI saw مِدادَهاits ink
رَمَيتُ بِها حَتّى رَأيتُ مِدادَها
يَطوفُcirculates بِهاwith it التَيّارُthe current فيin كُلِّevery جَدوَلِchannel
يَطوفُ بِها التَيّارُ في كُلِّ جَدوَلِ
I flung it away until I saw its ink,
I flung it until I saw its ink
as the current carried it around through every channel.
