أَينَwhere تَهويfalls قَدَميmy foot عَنaway from ذيthe possessor of الهَوىlove
أَينَ تَهوي قَدَمي عَن ذي الهَوى
وَاِبتِغائيand my seeking حَولاًa departure عَنهُfrom him مُحالُimpossible
وَاِبتِغائي حَولاً عَنهُ مُحالُ
Where can my foot fall, away from the bearer of love?
Where do my feet wander from the one I adore
And my seeking to turn away from him is impossible.
Seeking refuge from him is impossible
وَهوَand he ليfor me فَوقٌabove وَتَحتٌand below وَوَراand behind
وَهوَ لي فَوقٌ وَتَحتٌ وَوَرا
وَأَمامُand in front وَيَمينٌand right وَشِمالُand left
وَأَمامُ وَيَمينٌ وَشِمالُ
And he is above me, below me, and behind me,
He is above and below, behind
And before me, to my right and to my left.
