ياO وَلِيَّmaster الفَضلِgrace بِالفَضلِthrough grace مِنَfrom العَدلِjustice أَعذَنيshelter me
يا وَلِيَّ الفَضلِ بِالفَضلِ مِنَ العَدلِ أَعذَني
وَبِكَand with you اِشغَلَنيoccupy me عَنaway from غَيريanyone other than me وَمِنّيand from myself لَكَfor you خُذنيtake me
وَبِكَ اِشغَلَني عَن غَيري وَمِنّي لَكَ خُذني
O master of grace, through grace shelter me from justice.
O protector of virtue, with your virtue and justice, save me
And occupy me with you, away from others, and take me from myself for yourself.
And preoccupy me with you away from all else, take me for yourself
لِتَرىso that it may see عَينيmy eye الَّذيthat which خَوَّلَتهُyou bestowed it بِالوَعدِthrough the promise
لِتَرى عَيني الَّذي خَوَّلَتهُ بِالوَعدِ
So that my eye may see what you have bestowed through the promise.
So my eyes may see what you have promised
