فَنىvanished وَجوديmy existence فيin وُجودِthe existence of الهَوىlove
فَنى وَجودي في وُجودِ الهَوى
وَزالَand vanished فيin أَحكامِهِits decrees حَكميmy judgment
وَزالَ في أَحكامِهِ حَكمي
My existence vanished in the existence of love.
My existence has passed away in the existence of passion,
And my judgment vanished amid its decrees.
And my ruling has disappeared in its decrees.
وَأَصبَحَتand became ذاتيmy essence بِذاتِwithin the essence of الهَوىlove
وَأَصبَحَت ذاتي بِذاتِ الهَوى
كَالعَرَضِlike an accident (a nonessential attribute) اللائِحِmanifest فيin الجِسمِthe body
كَالعَرَضِ اللائِحِ في الجِسمِ
And my essence became, within the essence of love,
My essence has become one with the essence of passion,
Like an accident manifest in the body.
Like an evanescent attribute subsisting in a body.
