صَفاgrew clear جَسَديmy body حَتّىuntil بَداappeared مِنهُfrom it قَلبُهُits heart
صَفا جَسَدي حَتّى بَدا مِنهُ قَلبُهُ
وَشَفَّand grew transparent إِلىto أَنthat بانَbecame apparent ماwhat فيهِwithin it مِنof سِرِّa secret
وَشَفَّ إِلى أَن بانَ ما فيهِ مِن سِرِّ
My body grew clear until its heart showed through it,
My body became so clear that my heart could be seen
and grew transparent until the secret within it was revealed.
And it was apparent what secret lay within
فَغَيِّبَso was concealed سِرُّthe secret القَلبِof the heart وَقالِبيand my bodily form
فَغَيِّبَ سِرُّ القَلبِ وَقالِبي
كَماjust as غابَvanished لَوُcolor (likely intended: لون) الماءِthe water وَالكَأسِand the cup فيin الخَمرِthe wine
كَما غابَ لَوُ الماءِ وَالكَأسِ في الخَمرِ
Then the heart's secret and my bodily form were concealed,
So the heart's secret and its essence were hidden
as the [color] of water and the cup vanished in wine.
As the color of water and cup disappear in wine
