أرىI see مَشهَديmy witnessing بيwithin me مِنكَfrom you عَنكَof you خَصَّنيhas singled me out
أرى مَشهَدي بي مِنكَ عَنكَ خَصَّني
عَلىdespite أَنَّهُthe fact that it بَينَamong الأَنامِhumankind عُمومُuniversality
عَلى أَنَّهُ بَينَ الأَنامِ عُمومُ
I see that my witnessing of you, within me and from you, has singled me out,
I see my vision in you though from you I'm veiled
although it is universal among humankind.
As if between all people it's shared in common
وَليand I have مِنكَfrom you غَيبٌan unseen mystery فيin تَصَحُّحِbecoming sound رُؤيَتيmy vision
وَلي مِنكَ غَيبٌ في تَصَحُّحِ رُؤيَتي
وَكُلُّand all حَديثيmy talk فيabout هَواكَlove for you قَديمُancient
وَكُلُّ حَديثي في هَواكَ قَديمُ
And from you I have an unseen mystery as my vision proves true,
Yet of you there's an absence correcting my sight
and all my talk of love for you is ancient.
And all my talk of your love is time-worn
