قَلبيmy heart بِأَخلاقِهِin its character وَخِلقَتِهِand its form
قَلبي بِأَخلاقِهِ وَخِلقَتِهِ
حازَhas attained فُنونَmany kinds of الإِحسانِgoodness وَالحُسنِand beauty
حازَ فُنونَ الإِحسانِ وَالحُسنِ
My heart, in its character and its form,
Has attained many kinds of goodness and beauty.
عَجِبتُI marveled مِنهُat it يَشدوit sings فَيَظهَرُthen appears لِلأَسto the ears (first fragment)
عَجِبتُ مِنهُ يَشدو فَيَظهَرُ لِلأَس
ماعِcompletes 'ears' حُسنَthe beauty of الإِعرابِclear expression وَاللَحنِand melody
ماعِ حُسنَ الإِعرابِ وَاللَحنِ
I marvel at it singing: there appears to the ears
The beauty of clear expression and melody.
