قَومٌa people بِهِمwith them شَفَعَpaired الإِلَهُGod رَسولَهُHis Messenger
قَومٌ بِهِم شَفَعَ الإِلَهُ رَسولَهُ
وَكِتابِهُand His Book بِهِمُwith them الرَسولَthe Messenger لَقَدindeed شَفَعpaired
وَكِتابِهُ بِهِمُ الرَسولَ لَقَد شَفَع
A people with whom God paired His Messenger,
A people God interceded through them His Messenger
And with whom the Messenger indeed paired His Book.
And through them His Book; the Messenger interceded indeed
أَيَرومُdoes he seek فيin الإِسلامِIslam حَظّاًa share مِنone who عَداbypassed
أَيَرومُ في الإِسلامِ حَظّاً مِن عَدا
أَبوابِهِمtheir gates وَإِلىand to مُعاديهِمtheir enemies رَجَعreturned
أَبوابِهِم وَإِلى مُعاديهِم رَجَع
Does he seek a share in Islam who has bypassed
Do they expect in Islam a share from an enemy?
Their gates and returned to their enemies?
Their doors and to their enemies they turned
لاno وَالهُدىby guidance لَمnot يُهدَbe guided مَنwhoever ناواهُمopposed them
لا وَالهُدى لَم يُهدَ مَن ناواهُم
يَوماًfor a day وَلاnor ضَلَّwent astray الَّذيthe one who لَهُمto them اِتبَعfollowed
يَوماً وَلا ضَلَّ الَّذي لَهُم اِتبَع
No, by guidance! Whoever opposed them was not guided
No, by God, was not guided he who opposed them
Even for a day; nor did anyone who followed them go astray.
A day, nor lost who their following kept
