آمَنتُ بِالمُعجِزِ وَالعَجزِ

فَفُزتُ بِالمَطلَبِ وَالكَنزِ

I believed in the one who renders powerless—and in powerlessness;

I believed in the miraculous and in helplessness,

and thus attained the object sought and the treasure.

وَأَصبَحَ السئِبُ عَن كُلَّ مَح

The unfettered one—beyond every guarded

And the unconfined, beyond every protected

A youth bears truthful witness to my words—

And everyone veiled from beholding the
