الحق في الخلق خلق — Almkazhon Singari — Saqi

الحَقُّ في الخَلقِ خَلقُ
وَالخَلقُ في الحَقِّ حَقُّ
The Real in creation is creation;
and creation in the Real is the Real.
وَالفَتقُ في الرَتقِ رَتقُ
وَالرَتقُ في الفَتقِ فَتقُ
And sundering in joining is joining;
and joining in sundering is sundering.
وَالشَرقُ في الغَربِ غَربُ
وَالغَربُ في الشَرقِ شَرقُ
And east in west is west;
and west in east is east.
وَالنُطقُ في الصَمتِ صَمتُ
وَالصَمتِ في النُطقِ نُطقُ
And speech in silence is silence;
and silence in speech is speech.
وَالبَرقُ في الغَيمِ غَيمٌ
وَالغَيمِ في البَرقُ بَرقُ
And lightning in cloud is cloud;
and cloud in lightning is lightning.
وَالفَرقُ لِلجَمعِ جَمعٌ
وَالجَمعُ لِلفُرقِ فَرقُ
And separation, for union, is union;
and union, for separation, is separation.
صَريحُ قَولي المُعَمّى
عَن كُلِّ فَهمٍ يَدُقُّ
The plain sense of my cryptic speech
is too subtle for any understanding.
وَفَهمُ حالي لِغَيري
عَلى العُقولِ يَرِقُّ
And understanding my state, for someone else,
is too fine for minds.
وَفي سَحابي ماءٌ
هامَ وَثَلجٌ وَوَدقُ
And in my cloud is water—
flowing—and snow and rain.
وَعَينُ مَغرِبِ شِمسي
لِمائِها الدَهرُ دَفقُ
And the spring where my sun sets—
for its water, time is an outpouring.
وَقَد حَماها حِماها
إِذا فيهِ لِلعَينِ حَرقُ
And its sanctuary has indeed protected it,
when within it is burning for the eye.
حَديثُ وَجدي قَديمٌ
لَهُ عَلى السَبقِ نَسقُ
The tale of my ecstasy is ancient;
it has an order founded on precedence.
وَسِرُّهُ في فُؤادي
ما عَنهُ لِلخَلقِ نَسقُ
And its secret is in my heart;
creation has no ordered account of it.
فَلَيسَ يَعرِفُ عُرفي
مَن مالِهِ فيهِ نَشقُ
So none knows my fragrance
who has not breathed it in;
وَلا يُصَدِّقُ قَولي
مِن مالِهِ فيهِ صِدقُ
nor does anyone believe my speech
who has no sincerity in it.
وَلَيسَ يَشهَدُ غَيبي
في الخَلقِ إِلّا المُحِقُّ
And none beholds my unseen mystery
among creation except the one who is in the right.
حُروفُ إِسمي بِسَعدِ الس
سُعودِ في الأُفقِ وَفقُ
The letters of my name, with Saʿd al-
Suʿūd on the horizon, are in accord.
