أَناI مَلآنٌfull بِحُبّيwith my love
I am full of my love,
I am filled with my love
free of every distress.
Empty of all worries
مَنwho لَهُto him عَينٌan eye كَعَينيlike my eye
مَنwho لَهُto him قَلبٌa heart كَقَلبيlike my heart
Who has an eye like my eye?
Who has eyes like mine
Who has a heart like my heart?
Who has a heart like mine
وَكَلُبّيand like my mind إِذsince لَداعيto the summons of الشَوthe long- (first part of 'longing')
قِ-ing (completes 'longing') ماnot زالَceased يُلَبّيit responds
And a mind like mine, since to the summons of long-
And my dog when I call him
ing it has never ceased to respond?
Still responds lovingly
فَلِذاand so أَضحىbecame بَديهِيّاًself-evident
لَفِكريto my thought كُلُّall كَسبِacquired knowledge
And so it became self-evident
So it has become obvious
to my thought—all acquired knowledge.
To my mind every gain
