زينَةُ الفَقرِ في العَفافِ وَحَقُّ العِلمِ

تَعليمُ طالِبٍ مُستَحَقِّ

تَعليمُ طالِبٍ مُستَحَقِّ

Poverty's adornment lies in self-restraint, and knowledge's due

Is to teach a worthy seeker.

وَسَبيلُ النَجاةِ صَعبٌ وَلا

وَسَبيلُ النَجاةِ صَعبٌ وَلا

يُبلَغُ إِلّا بِحَملِ صَعبٍ مُشَقِّ

يُبلَغُ إِلّا بِحَملِ صَعبٍ مُشَقِّ

And the path to salvation is hard, and cannot

Be reached except by bearing grueling hardship.
