يَشقىsuffers الفَتىthe young man بِخلافِin contending with كُلِّevery مُعانِدٍstubborn adversary
يَشقى الفَتى بِخلافِ كُلِّ مُعانِدٍ
يُؤذيهِharms him حَتّىeven بِالقَذىwith a speck فيin مائِهِhis water
يُؤذيهِ حَتّى بِالقَذى في مائِهِ
The young man suffers in contending with every stubborn adversary,
The youth suffers unlike any stubborn opponent
who harms him even with a speck in his water.
Who harms him even with specks in his water
يَهوِيdrops إِذاwhen أَصغىtilts الإِناءُthe vessel لِشُربِهfor him to drink
يَهوِي إِذا أَصغى الإِناءُ لِشُربِه
وَيَروغُand darts away عَنهُfrom him عِندَat صَبِّthe pouring out of إِنائِهِhis vessel
وَيَروغُ عَنهُ عِندَ صَبِّ إِنائِهِ
It drops when the vessel tilts for him to drink,
He lunges when the vessel is raised for his drink
and darts away from him when he pours out his vessel.
And recoils from it when his vessel is poured
