أَما حانَ أَن تَشفي المُستَهامَ

بَزَورةِ وَصلٍ وَتَأوي لَهُ

بَزَورةِ وَصلٍ وَتَأوي لَهُ

Has the time not come for you to heal the love-stricken one

With a visit of reunion, and take pity on him?

يُجمجِمُ عَن سُؤلِهِ هَيبَةً

يُجمجِمُ عَن سُؤلِهِ هَيبَةً

وَيَعلَمُ عِلمكَ تَأويلَهُ

وَيَعلَمُ عِلمكَ تَأويلَهُ

He speaks haltingly of his wish, out of awe,

And knows that you know its meaning.
