بِcompletes 'mind' from the preceding line المَرءِof a person مِنهُfrom him شَمائِلُgraces; qualities
And a slender-waisted youth, beguiling the mind
With soft whispering winds blowing through the heart
Of a man with his graces.
Are a man's admirable traits

وَالقَدُّand the figure غُصنٌa branch مائِلُbending
For his haunches are a massive mound of sand,
With strong, sturdy hips
And his figure is a bending branch.
And a slender, bending form

And his cheek is the radiance of anemones;
Cheeks that glow like red anemones
Leafy groves part to reveal it.
Bursting with blossoms

And his fragrance is the splendor of gardens,
A chin like the radiance of gardens
Whose presence northerly breezes have revealed.
Where beautiful features grow

And his gaze is a sword, with no
Eyes like an undefeated sword
Sword-straps but the down along his cheeks.
That spare only the blameless
