هَذيthis السَعادَةُhappiness قَدalready قامَتhas risen عَلىon قَدَمِa foot
وَقَدand already خَلَعتُI bestowed a robe of honor لَهاupon her فيin مَجلِسِthe assembly of الكَرَمِgenerosity
This happiness has risen to her feet.
This happiness arose upon my feet
And I have bestowed a robe of honor upon her in the assembly of generosity.
And for it I shed my cloak in the assembly of generosity
فَإِنso if أَرَدتَyou wish إِلَهيmy God بِالوَرىfor humankind حُسناًgoodness
فَمَلَّكَنيthen make me master زِمامَthe reins of الدَهرِtime وَالأُمَمِand nations
So if, my God, you wish goodness for humankind,
If You desire good for the people, my God
Then make me master of the reins of time and nations.
Give me control over the rein of fate and nations
فَإِنَّنيfor indeed I لاعدَلتُwould not turn aside الدَهرَfor all time عَنfrom حَسَنٍgoodness
وَلاand not عَدَلتُI turned aside بِهِمwith them عَنfrom أَكرَمِthe noblest of الشِيَمِcharacter traits
For I would never, through all time, turn aside from goodness,
For I would not let time deprive them of goodness
Nor lead them away from the noblest virtues.
Nor would I, with them, deprive the most honorable traits
أُقارِعُI contend with الدَهرَforever عَنهُمon their behalf كُلَّevery ذيpossessor of طَلَبٍa claim
وَأُطرِدُand I drive away الدَهرَforever عَنهُمfrom them كُلَّevery ذيpossessor of عدمِwant
I would forever contend on their behalf with every claimant,
I confront time against them, all who demand
And forever drive every needy person away from them.
And I drive away time from them, all who lack
