أَيا مَلِكا عَمَّني فَضلُهُ

أَيا مَلِكا عَمَّني فَضلُهُ

وَلَم ألف في بَحر نُعماه زَجرا

وَلَم ألف في بَحر نُعماه زَجرا

O king whose bounty has encompassed me,

O King whose generosity has enriched me

And I have found no rebuff in the sea of his favors.

I have never known hardship in the sea of your blessings

عَهِدنا البِحار لِزَجرٍ وَمَدٍّ

عَهِدنا البِحار لِزَجرٍ وَمَدٍّ

وَتأبى بِحارُ أَياديكَ جَزرا

وَتأبى بِحارُ أَياديكَ جَزرا

We have known seas to be checked and to swell,

We are accustomed to seas that ebb and flow

Yet the seas of your beneficence refuse to ebb.

Yet the sea of your hands refuses islands

دَعَونا الأَمانيَ لَمّا رَضيتَ

دَعَونا الأَمانيَ لَمّا رَضيتَ

فَجاءَت تَوالي عَلَينا وَتَترى

فَجاءَت تَوالي عَلَينا وَتَترى

We summoned our wishes when you were pleased,

When you were pleased, we left our wishes

So they came upon us in succession, one after another.

And they kept coming in succession

فَلَم يَبقَ لي أَمَلٌ أرتَجيه

فَلَم يَبقَ لي أَمَلٌ أرتَجيه

سِوى أَن أَقومَ بِنُعماكَ شُكرا

سِوى أَن أَقومَ بِنُعماكَ شُكرا

So no hope remained for me to seek,

I have no more hopes left to wish for

Save to give thanks for your bounty.

Except to give thanks for your blessings

بَقيتَ وَلا مُلكَ إِلّا وَقَد

بَقيتَ وَلا مُلكَ إِلّا وَقَد

غَدا مِلكَ كَفِّكَ قَهراً وَقَسرا

غَدا مِلكَ كَفِّكَ قَهراً وَقَسرا

May you endure, with no kingdom that has not

You remain while no kingdom remains

Become your hand's possession, by force and compulsion.

That your palm has not overcome by might and force
