وَلَمand did not أَدرِI know مَنwho أَلقَcast عَلَيهِupon him رِداءَهُhis cloak
وَلَم أَدرِ مَن أَلقَ عَلَيهِ رِداءَهُ
سِوىexcept أَنَّهُthat it قَدhad سُلَّbeen drawn off عَنfrom ماجِدa noble man محضِpure
سِوى أَنَّهُ قَد سُلَّ عَن ماجِد محضِ
And I did not know who cast his cloak upon him,
I did not know who cast their cloak over him
