وَشادنٍ أَسألُهُ قَهوَةً
فَجادَso he gave generously بِالقَهوَةِwith wine وَالوَردِand roses
فَجادَ بِالقَهوَةِ وَالوَردِ
And a young gazelle—I asked him for wine;
I asked him for coffee,
so he generously gave me wine and roses.
so he brought coffee and roses.
فَبِتُّso I spent the night أُسقىI am served الراحَwine مِنfrom ريقهِhis saliva
فَبِتُّ أُسقى الراحَ مِن ريقهِ
وَأجتَنيand I pluck الوَردَroses مِنَfrom الخَدِّthe cheek
وَأجتَني الوَردَ مِنَ الخَدِّ
So I spent the night being served wine from his saliva,
I stayed up tending to the wind with his saliva,
and plucking roses from his cheek.
and plucked roses from his cheek.
