Ah, O radiant brow of good fortune,

    and delight of glory's eye,

and my lord, who has never

ceased to trail the robe of praise:

Your servant has an aspiration, enamored

of the gallop of lean, sleek steeds.

And he humbly appeals for one of them

to Your Highness—for the rose-colored steed.

And if you take it from a servant,

you bestow it upon a servant.
