قَلبي مُوالٍ لِمُعاديهِ
وَعاشِقٌand in love with مَنone who لاnot يُباليهِcares for it
وَعاشِقٌ مَن لا يُباليهِ
My heart is loyal to its foe,
My heart is loyal to my enemies
And loves one who cares nothing for it.
And in love with those who don't care for me
خِلٌّa beloved ظَلومٌever unjust كُلَّماwhenever زدتهُI gave him more
خِلٌّ ظَلومٌ كُلَّما زدتهُ
مَوَدّةًaffection زادَincreased تَجَنّيهِhis wrongdoing
مَوَدّةً زادَ تَجَنّيهِ
A cruel beloved—whenever I give him more
He's a mean friend, the more affection I show him
Affection, his cruelty grows.
The more he rejects me

Ah, may God forgive him his sin
Oh may God forgive him his sin
In wronging a lovesick lover infatuated with him.
In the injustice of swirling madness

O fair-faced one, for love's sake,
Oh beautiful face, for love's sake
Do not accept the ugliness of abandonment and pride.
Do not accept the ugliness of abandonment and confusion
