أَسَأتَ بِعَبدِكَ في عَسفِهِ

أَسَأتَ بِعَبدِكَ في عَسفِهِ

وَحَمَّلتَ عَيرَكَ ما لَم يُطِق

وَحَمَّلتَ عَيرَكَ ما لَم يُطِق

You wronged your slave by oppressing him.

You have ill-treated Your servant in his tyranny,

And burdened your donkey with what it could not bear.

And burdened him with what he cannot bear,

وَسَوفَ يُجازيكَ رَبُّ السَماءِ

وَسَوفَ يُجازيكَ رَبُّ السَماءِ

فَشَمِّر لِأَحكامِهِ وَاِنتَطِق

فَشَمِّر لِأَحكامِهِ وَاِنتَطِق

And the Lord of heaven will repay you.

Yet the Lord of the heavens will surely requite you,

So tuck up your garments for His judgments, and gird yourself.

So roll up your sleeves for His decrees, and speak up.
