تُخَيِّمُyou pitch camp ياO اِبنَson of آدَمَAdam فيin اِرتِحالٍjourneying
تُخَيِّمُ يا اِبنَ آدَمَ في اِرتِحالٍ
وَتَرقُدُand you sleep فيin ذَراكَyour shelter وَأَنتَwhile you are ساريtraveling by night
وَتَرقُدُ في ذَراكَ وَأَنتَ ساري
You pitch camp, O son of Adam, while journeying;
O son of Adam, you settle down during travels,
And sleep in your shelter while traveling by night.
And you sleep in your abode while still wandering,
وَيَأمُلُand hopes for ساكِنُthe dweller in الدُنياthis world رَباحاًprofit
وَيَأمُلُ ساكِنُ الدُنيا رَباحاً
وَلَيسَand is not الحَيُّthe living person إِلّاexcept فيin خَسارِloss
وَلَيسَ الحَيُّ إِلّا في خَسارِ
And the dweller in this world hopes for profit,
And the dweller of this world hopes for profits,
Yet the living suffer nothing but loss.
Yet there is no profit except in loss,
