إِذا هَبَّت جَنوبٌ أَو شَمالٌ

إِذا هَبَّت جَنوبٌ أَو شَمالٌ

فَأَنتَ لِكُلِّ مُقتادٍ جَنيبُ

فَأَنتَ لِكُلِّ مُقتادٍ جَنيبُ

When a south wind or a north wind blows,

When the south or north winds blow,

then you are a led mount for every leader.

You answer every summoner.

رُوَيدَكَ إِن ثَلاثونَ اِستَقَلَّت

رُوَيدَكَ إِن ثَلاثونَ اِستَقَلَّت

وَلَم يُنِبِ الفَتى فَمَتى يُنيبُ

وَلَم يُنِبِ الفَتى فَمَتى يُنيبُ

Steady yourself: if thirty years have passed,

Restrain yourself, though thirty flee away,

and the young man has not repented, then when will he repent?

A youth fails not; when will he fail?
