إِراحَةَ جِسمٍ أَنَّ مَسلَكَهُ صَعبُ
What attests to death's merit and to its being
It indicates the virtue of death and that it
Rest for the body is that the path to it is hard.
Is a relief for the body that its path is arduous

Have you not seen that, before you reach glory, you encounter
Have you not seen that glory awaits you after it
Hardships whose like warrant terror?
Through tribulations like it, fear became a duty

When our parts separate, our burden is lifted;
When our parts separate, our burden lightens
And we bear a load when the rift closes.
And we bear a load when the nation unites

And yesterday your shepherd lay at rest, bidding farewell;
Yesterday, your shepherd passed away while bidding farewell
And were he alive, a wooden bowl would stand in his hand.
And if he were alive, a staff would be in his hand
