لا مُلكَ لِلمَلِكِ المَقصورِ نَعلَمُهُ

لا مُلكَ لِلمَلِكِ المَقصورِ نَعلَمُهُ

وَكُلُّ عَلى الرَحمنِ مَقصورُ

وَكُلُّ عَلى الرَحمنِ مَقصورُ

We know no dominion for the confined king;

The destined king, we know him not,

and all is subject to the Most Merciful.

And all are dependent on the Merciful.

مَضَت قُرونٌ وَتَمضي بَعدَنا أُمَمٌ

مَضَت قُرونٌ وَتَمضي بَعدَنا أُمَمٌ

وَالسِرُّ خافٍ إِلى أَن يُنفَخَ الصورُ

وَالسِرُّ خافٍ إِلى أَن يُنفَخَ الصورُ

Generations have passed, and nations will pass after us;

Centuries have passed and nations will pass after us,

and the secret remains hidden until the Trumpet is blown.

لَم يُحصِ أَعدادَ رَملِ الأَرضِ ساكِنُها

لَم يُحصِ أَعدادَ رَملِ الأَرضِ ساكِنُها

وَكُلُّ ذلِك عِندَ اللَهِ مَحصورُ

وَكُلُّ ذلِك عِندَ اللَهِ مَحصورُ

Earth's dweller has not counted its grains of sand;

The dweller did not count the grains of sand of the earth,

and all of that is accounted for with God.

And all that is with God enumerated.
