    Three desires: a sturdy she-camel and a saddle,

    And a path now clear—will there be an early start?

    And some people in this world are like birds,

    Too proud for nests to suit them:

    Males, with no females for them; yet

    Their mates are the hard-tempered 'male' swords of Indian steel.

    فَكُلُّكُمُ أَخو ضِغنٍ مَكورُ

    I knew you long ago, sons of Eve;

    For each of you is a brother to rancor, a schemer.

    And none among you repays kindness,

    Nor is any of you grateful for favors.
