Pebbles in my mouth! Does she fill the mind—the one

whose mouth, to the beholder’s eye, holds a string of pearls?

Whenever you see my figure standing,

the noonday heat has shielded you, in plain sight, with a mirage.

So do not envy me for the freshness I was granted

by Time; and consider my return and my final fate.

And my kin—I mean my relatives—are its soldiers

in the harm it has made me drink and has promised me.
