ياO ناقَshe-camel صَبراًbe patient أَنتِyou (feminine) فيamong أَينُقٍshe-camels
يا ناقَ صَبراً أَنتِ في أَينُقٍ
شَطَّتhave grown distant مَراعيهاtheir pastures وَأَيناقُهاand their charm
شَطَّت مَراعيها وَأَيناقُها
O she-camel, be patient: you are among she-camels
Whose pastures and charm have grown distant.
أَغراضُهاtheir girths حالَتhave altered بِإِغراضِهاthrough tightening their girths
أَغراضُها حالَت بِإِغراضِها
وَقَدand indeed بَرىhas worn away الأَعناقَthe necks إِعناقُهاtheir swift pace
وَقَد بَرى الأَعناقَ إِعناقُها
Their girths have altered through being tightened,
And their swift pace has worn away their necks.
