O mistress of the secluded chamber, reckon death a slumber.
For you are but one of the graceful women of Mudar.
طيبيbe at peace ضَميراًin your heart بِأَمرٍwith a matter لاno مَحيدَescape لَهُfrom it

Be at peace in your heart with a fate there is no escaping.
Nomads and townspeople meet it against their will.
لَمnot تُكفَهُwere spared it الخُضرُthe verdant ones مِنof لُؤمٍbaseness وَلاnor كَرَمٍnobility

The verdant ones, base and noble alike, were not spared it.
Nor did it pass over Moses or al-Khidr.
لَوif كانَتِwere الريحُthe wind تَحتيbeneath me ماnot نَجَوتُI escaped بِهاon it
فَكَيفَthen how أَنجوcan I escape بِذاتِon one endowed with الشَدِّswift running وَالحُضُرِand galloping
Had the wind been beneath me, I would not have escaped on it.
How, then, can I escape on a swift-running, galloping mount?
