O house of Jacob, your Torah is not tidings

from a firestick's kindling, but an inflammation of livers.

If your secret has not become apparent to the naive,

then indeed it is plain to me in its hiding places.

You have indeed lived off a matter that is all falsehood,

over the long passing of times and ages.

And it aroused my suspicion that rabbis of yours, firmly grounded

in learning, are by no means worshippers.
