My clothes are my shrouds, and my grave is my home.
My clothes are my shroud, and my dwelling is my tomb
And my life is my death, and death is resurrection for me.
My food is my tears, and death is my resurrection

Adorn yourself with the finest jewelry, and milk wealth;
I am adorned with the finest jewels, and long for nothing
For the disheveled band is better than your like.
Better than those barefoot souls who walk the path

They walk on foot along the paths of guidance
Of righteousness, their hearts filled with sorrow for God
Toward God, whether their feet tread rugged ground or yielding sand.
No corn in their hands, no crowns on their heads

And no bracelets are on their hands, nor anklets on their shins,
Just callused feet walking the road.
Nor a crown upon their heads, nor earrings in their ears.
