Let no rightly guided free woman sit

with her husband's son, nor with a son-in-law.

For that is better for her, and safer for

a person; indeed, a young man is amid temptations.

And keep the jealousy of youth forever,

and do not return to youth and then grow slack.

It is as though misfortunes across the horizons

were some of the clouds pouring rain.

The people were not circumcised of their own choosing,

when they were brought from Tiraz or Khotan.
