الحُكمُjudgment لِلَّهِbelongs to God فَالبَثso remain مُفرَداًalone أَبَداًforever
الحُكمُ لِلَّهِ فَالبَث مُفرَداً أَبَداً
وَلاand do not تَكُنbe بِصُنوفِwith the various kinds of الناسِpeople مُختَلِطاًmingling
وَلا تَكُن بِصُنوفِ الناسِ مُختَلِطاً
Judgment belongs to God, so remain alone forever.
Judgement belongs to Allah, so never spread rumors
And do not mingle with the various kinds of people.
And do not mingle with diverse people
وَلَستُand I am not أَدريI know سِوىexcept أَنّيthat I أَرىI deem رَجُلاًa man
وَلَستُ أَدري سِوى أَنّي أَرى رَجُلاً
يَرُبُّhe rears نَسلاًoffspring لِرَيبِfor the calamities of الدَهرِtime قَدindeed غَلِطاhe has erred
يَرُبُّ نَسلاً لِرَيبِ الدَهرِ قَد غَلِطا
And I know only that I deem a man
And I know nothing more than I see a man
Who rears offspring for time's calamities to have indeed erred.
Raising a progeny to the doubts of time gone astray
