أَنَعشٌis there a bier? فيin السَماءِthe sky وَذاكَand that أَمرٌa matter
أَنَعشٌ في السَماءِ وَذاكَ أَمرٌ
يَدُلُّpoints عَلىto هَلاكِthe death of بَناتِthe daughters of نَعشِNaʿsh (the Bier)
يَدُلُّ عَلى هَلاكِ بَناتِ نَعشِ
Is there a bier in the sky? And that is something
A coffin in the sky, that's an amazing thing
that points to the death of the Daughters of Naʿsh.
Indicating the demise of coffin girls
أَلَمdid ... not? يَتَبَيَّنواthey discern الخَطبَthe calamity المُوارىthe hidden
أَلَم يَتَبَيَّنوا الخَطبَ المُوارى
بِجَهلٍthrough ignorance أَمor قَضاءُthe decree of اللَهِGod يُعشيdims sight
بِجَهلٍ أَم قَضاءُ اللَهِ يُعشي
Have they failed to discern the hidden calamity
Haven't they discerned the fate that awaits
through ignorance, or does God's decree dim their sight?
Through ignorance or God's decree night falls
