كَرَأيِ نَفسي تَناءَت عَن خَزاياها
If every human soul held a view
If all human souls held a view
If all people's souls were visionary
like my own soul’s, each would keep far from its disgraces;
like my soul's, they would keep far from their shameful deeds,
Like my soul that renounced its sins

وَلا اِقتَنوا وَاِستَراحوا مِن رَزاياها
and they would leave this world empty, so they would beget none,
and leave this world idle: they would not beget children,
And neglected this world without bearing children
nor acquire possessions, and they would find rest from its afflictions.
nor acquire possessions, and would find rest from its calamities.
Or acquiring possessions, resting from its woes
