أَعوذُI seek refuge بِاللَهِin God مِنfrom وَرهاءَa foolish woman قائِلَةٍsaying
أَعوذُ بِاللَهِ مِن وَرهاءَ قائِلَةٍ
لِزَوجِto a husband إِنّيindeed I إِلىto الحَمّامِthe bathhouse أَحتاجُI need
لِزَوجِ إِنّي إِلى الحَمّامِ أَحتاجُ
I seek refuge in God from a foolish woman saying
to a husband, 'I need the bathhouse.'
وَهَمُّهاand her concern فيin أُمورٍmatters لَوif يُتابِعُهاhe goes along with her
وَهَمُّها في أُمورٍ لَو يُتابِعُها
كِسرىKhosrow عَلَيهاin them لِشينَwould surely be disgraced المُلكُkingship وَالتاجُand the crown
كِسرى عَلَيها لِشينَ المُلكُ وَالتاجُ
And her concern is with matters in which, were she indulged
by Khosrow, kingship and crown would surely be disgraced.
