قَضىdecreed اللَهُGod أَنَّthat الآدَمِيَّthe human being مُعَذَّبٌtormented
قَضى اللَهُ أَنَّ الآدَمِيَّ مُعَذَّبٌ
إِلىuntil أَنthat يَقولَsay العالِمونَthose acquainted بِهِwith him قَضىhe has died
إِلى أَن يَقولَ العالِمونَ بِهِ قَضى
God decreed that man shall be tormented
Until those who know him say, “He has died.”
فَهَنِّئso congratulate وُلاةَthe next of kin of المَيتِthe deceased يَومَthe day of رَحيلِهِhis departure
فَهَنِّئ وُلاةَ المَيتِ يَومَ رَحيلِهِ
أَصابواthey gained تُراثاًan inheritance وَاِستَراحَand he found rest الَّذيthe one who مَضىdeparted
أَصابوا تُراثاً وَاِستَراحَ الَّذي مَضى
So congratulate the deceased’s next of kin on the day of his departure:
They have gained an inheritance, and he who departed has found rest.
