كَلامُكَ مُلتَبِسٌ لا يَبينُ

كَلامُكَ مُلتَبِسٌ لا يَبينُ

كَالخَطِّ أَغفَلَهُ الناقِطُ

كَالخَطِّ أَغفَلَهُ الناقِطُ

Your speech is ambiguous, not clear,

like script its dotter left undotted.

نَصَحتُكَ لا تَعتَرِف يا أُخَيّ

نَصَحتُكَ لا تَعتَرِف يا أُخَيّ

بي فَأَنا الرَجُلُ الساقِطُ

بي فَأَنا الرَجُلُ الساقِطُ

I have advised you, my little brother: do not acknowledge

me, for I am a man of no account.

وَلَو كُنتُ مُلقىً بِظَهرِ الطَريقِ

وَلَو كُنتُ مُلقىً بِظَهرِ الطَريقِ

لَم يَلتَقِط مِثلي اللاقِطُ

لَم يَلتَقِط مِثلي اللاقِطُ

And even if I were cast upon the road,

no finder would pick up the likes of me.
