O merchant of the city, you have not dealt fairly with a woman bargaining;
You lied to her in a carefully composed tale of yours.
إِنif تَشكُyou complain of قَطعَthe cutting off of طَريقٍa road بِالفَلاةِin the wilderness فَكَمthen how often
قَطَعتَyou cut off مِنfrom قَبلُbefore طُرُقَthe paths of الناسِthe people فيin السوقِthe marketplace
If you complain of highway robbery in the wilderness, how often
Have you waylaid people before in the marketplace!
