لَعَمري لَقَد بِعنا القَناءَ نُفوسَنا

لَعَمري لَقَد بِعنا القَناءَ نُفوسَنا

بِلا عِوَضٍ عِندَ البِياعِ وَلا ثِنيا

بِلا عِوَضٍ عِندَ البِياعِ وَلا ثِنيا

By my life, we have sold our souls to the spears,

for no return at the sale, with nothing held back.

وَلَو بَينَ دُنيانا الدَنيَّةِ خُيِّرَت

وَلَو بَينَ دُنيانا الدَنيَّةِ خُيِّرَت

وَبَينَ سِواها ماءَرادَت سِوى الدُنِّيا

وَبَينَ سِواها ماءَرادَت سِوى الدُنِّيا

And if they were given a choice between our base world

and anything beyond it, they would want nothing but this world.
