Be content with what the pious man accepts for himself,
Be content with what the devout approves for himself
and which a giver of permission has allowed in life.
And permits in life, a granter of license,

If, in the mirror of your reason, you see anything other than
If the mirror of your mind shows you anything but
what is in your understanding, it shows it as ugly.
What your intellect presented as ugly, reproachable,

The noblest of your deeds are those through which you seek
Make your actions the most proper that you intend
right guidance; and the best of your speech is glorification of God.
With reason, and the best of your words glorification.

Indeed, vicissitudes always have knives;
Indeed events, they do not cease to have ebbs
the ram of the stars is slaughtered by some of them.
The movement of stars, some lead to sacrifice.
