Your intellects are meager in every circumstance,

Yet the tears of weeping women are copious.

The witless ruler will return if back comes his grandfather,

Maʿadd, to you—or his father, Nizār.

Nor has it been established for the discerning man that

At Kufwān there is a grave of the Imam that is visited.

A man of faith is one who opposes evil, and now has

A chamber of chastity and a loincloth.
