أَيوجَدُare there to be found? فيamong الوَرىhumankind نَفَرٌa group of people طَهارىpure
أَيوجَدُ في الوَرى نَفَرٌ طَهارى
أَمِor الأَقوامُthe peoples كُلُّهُمُall of them رُجوسُunclean
أَمِ الأَقوامُ كُلُّهُمُ رُجوسُ
Are any pure people to be found among humankind,
Or are all peoples unclean?
بَناتُdaughters العَمُّthe paternal uncle تَأباهاrefuse them النَصارىthe Christians
بَناتُ العَمُّ تَأباها النَصارى
وَبِالأَخواتِand with the sisters أَعرَسَتmarried المَجوسُthe Magians
وَبِالأَخواتِ أَعرَسَت المَجوسُ
Christians refuse to wed their paternal uncles’ daughters,
And the Magians have married their sisters.
