غَداset out in the morning اِبنُson عَجوزٍan old woman لَهاfor her مائِراًseeking provisions
غَدا اِبنُ عَجوزٍ لَها مائِراً
فَقَدand indeed صادَفَencountered اِبنَةَa daughter ظِلٍّshade عَجوزاaged
فَقَد صادَفَ اِبنَةَ ظِلٍّ عَجوزا
An old woman's son set out in the morning to fetch her provisions.
Tomorrow the son of an old woman will pass
And indeed, he encountered an aged daughter of the shade.
And meet the daughter of an old man in shade
أَجازَتshe sent across عَلَيهِacross his path بَناتٍdaughters لَهاof hers
أَجازَت عَلَيهِ بَناتٍ لَها
عاقَتprevented رَكائِبُهُhis mounts أَنto تَجوزاcross
عاقَت رَكائِبُهُ أَن تَجوزا
She sent daughters of hers across his path.
Her young daughters will walk past him
His mounts prevented them from crossing.
His ride will fail should they be wed
