He tries Armenian clay, hoping that he
He tries to mold Armenian clay, perhaps
may ward a decreed fate away from his soul.
It will defend its threshing floors to some extent.

He has an appointed hour: if it comes, incantations cannot avert it;
It has a set lifespan; if the time comes, fatigue will not bend it,
and if it has not come, he does not fear drinking poison.
And if the time does not come, it will not fear being poisoned.
