O merchant of the city, you have not dealt fairly with a woman seeking to buy.
You lied to her in a story you had strung together.
إِنif تَشكُyou complain of قَطعَcutting off طَريقٍa road بِالفَلاةِin the wilderness فَكَمthen how often
إِن تَشكُ قَطعَ طَريقٍ بِالفَلاةِ فَكَم
قَطَعتَyou cut off مِنfrom قَبلُbefore طُرُقَthe paths of الناسِpeople فيin السوقِthe market
قَطَعتَ مِن قَبلُ طُرُقَ الناسِ في السوقِ
If you complain of highway robbery in the wilderness, how often
you have cut off people's paths in the market before!
