يا آلَ غَسّانَ أَقوى مِنكُمُ وَطَنٌ

يا آلَ غَسّانَ أَقوى مِنكُمُ وَطَنٌ

تَغشى العُفاةُ بِهِ الشُبّانَ وَالشيبا

تَغشى العُفاةُ بِهِ الشُبّانَ وَالشيبا

O house of Ghassan, a homeland lies deserted without you;

O Aal Ghussan, mightier than you all is a nation

There, seekers of bounty would visit the young men and the gray-haired.

Whose youth and elders are sheltered by its shade

تَسقونَهُم مِن حَليبِ الجَفنِ صافِيَةً

تَسقونَهُم مِن حَليبِ الجَفنِ صافِيَةً

بِبارِدٍ كَحَليبِ الجَفنِ ما شيبا

بِبارِدٍ كَحَليبِ الجَفنِ ما شيبا

You would give them pure wine from the milk of the vine,

You serve them from the milk of endurance, pure

Unmixed with cool water like the milk of the eyelid.

As cool as the milk of endurance, no turning white
