A woman's mirror does not accompany Mā-

wiyya, the woman, out of her vanity,

for she knows that the one who fashioned her

favored her with beauty within her veils.

Were the world a dwelling place for her,

I would not knowingly have said, 'Turn aside to her.'

We have been borne along; look, then, at a company

that does not remove the saddles from its noble camels.
